Nemo Labs, a creative solutions company, wanted a logo design that represented their name, quite simply, but also had a creative flair. Captain Nemo hunted Moby Dick just like creative professionals hunt great ideas, so an orange whale just had to be the representative for their company. The color evokes the futuristic, “different” take on a simple concept to make the logo design stand out from the crowd. Initially, I drew the whale in Illustrator and then imported it into Photoshop to add the 3d reflective effects.
