Poetic Portraits of a Revolution, produced by the Academy Award-winning organization Empowerment Project, will be sending nationally recognized spoken word poets and youth educators Will McInerney and Kane Smego to Egypt and Tunisia this summer to collect oral histories, take photographs, and create poetic reflections that depict the sights, sounds, and emotions of life in both countries during this time of transformation. This website design is simple and timeless.

This website design wanted to be futuristic and exciting, embracing technology in a clean and unencumbered way. Syntiant is an up-and-coming company that I don’t think I can discuss yet under penalty of death or at least a mean talking-to. Just trust me when I say that it’s going to be a game-changer for the way we interact with our world. I know, sounds hyperbolic, but I guess I tend to take on the hyperbolic kind of projects. CaptiveAire had an upcoming tradeshow to prepare for and they asked me to do the tradeshow booth print design for it. They had a whole slew of products to show off, but not a uniform way to show them without it looking either too boring or too schizophrenic. I decided to haphazardly space them about the panels in an organized way (I know, sounds ironic) so we could show them in as large-and-in-charge as possible. Turned out pretty cool and cutting edge and really pulled people to the booth. Note: See the picture of it all set up at the tradeshow below in the “Alternate Views” section.

CORE Fire Protection needed a simple logo design that evoked its mission: to make sure fires don’t spread in commercial kitchens. So we used the natural shape of the O as a nest for the cool blue color at its core (the antithesis of firey red).

Captrate is a subsidiary of CaptiveAire. They make industrial kitchen fans to remove grease from kitchen exhaust. They wanted a new perception on their great product, something to set them apart from competitors. So we updated their look with a new logo, brochure and website. This brochure print design reflects the clean design concept we developed for the other pieces of the Captrate identity.

L’Enfant Terrible is defined in Webster’s Dictionary as an unusually successful person who is strikingly unorthodox, innovative, and/or avant-garde. I’d say that fits in with the kind of personality you want in your party planner. The logo design clearly shows this in his knowing smirk mixed with his professional bow-tie.

Veritas CNC wanted a website design that would impress all the tradeshow people he was handing his business cards and brochures out to, something to tie together the excitement of learning about his new technology at the tradeshow to when they get back in front of their computers. We worked with on-camera talent in front of a greenscreen to get the effect of the announcer walking in front of the website’s hero image.

The Shipman Agency produces reality television shows such as Glamour Girl, Glass Slipper Show, Your Custom Home, Legends & Outlaws and Ammo & Attitude. She wanted a website that would showcase these current shows and excite people about them. She would use the website both to bring in potential participants on the shows and to attract networks and financing.
