SignalFest is an annual techno event with dozens of quality deejays rockin’ the house. I developed this poster design for a free ticket. I just so happened to love one of the deejays and my arm was nicely twisted just enough to get my pro-bono juices a-flowin’.

CaptiveAire wanted a poster design to shout about their new launch of their “System 10″ product in a simple, classy way. This print design was hung up at tradeshows and other places that need wall art.

Sweeney Todd poster design

I know what you’re thinking. That I’m just jumping on the Johnny Depp train, right? Well I’d venture to guess that since I did this original design, that’s what got Johnny all excited about the project years later. That’s the only explanation that makes sense.

This musical comedy is about a “demon barber” who give his clients a “close shave” by slitting their throats. I know, it doesn’t sound too funny by the sound of this description, but it actually is! Of course I had to play up on the gory premise on which this play was based.

Anyway, this poster design was created for the Pauper Players, a UNC-based troupe who originally did this play in 2003. The added perk was I got free tickets (I saved at least $7) for each performance.

Rally for Change poster design

This pro-bono print design poster project was done for a campus activist group who needed flyer designs to hang up around UNC campus. They had a strong message, which called for a strong visual to represent that. For true change to occur, yell from the rooftops … and use bright colors.

Affordable Housing poster design

I developed this poster design concept for a citywide meeting on the myths and misconceptions of adding lower-cost housing to the city. As a side note, after I did this flyer I heard that it’s highly illegal to copy money … please Mr. Occifer, it was for a good cause …

Fantasticks poster design

This was a pro-bono project done for a UNC-based acting troupe that is completely student-run. The Fantasticks is a play about two lovers trapped on either side of a wall that is expressly meant to keep them apart. It’s a beautiful and funny play and it was a lot of fun to make this flyer design.
